Letter to the editor, without the editor.
There are seemingly endless amounts of content being created every minute of every day, so why add to the pile? Perhaps* because I find myself having a hard time finding something I would actually want to read in this massive pile of content. Sure, you could read the NYTimes, GQ, and Vanity Fair, to name a few left-postured organizations, but doing so leaves one with the feeling that you were just talked down to. Meanwhile, a lot of the conservative branded media offers the promise of “realistic, straight talking, non-elitist” type of commentary for the ordinary citizen, but from the mouths of elitist, millionaires pretending to understand and care about you. But don’t throw me into the “both sides are bad” camp, I’ll be upfront about my left leaning politics. Maybe what this is, is a “letter to the editor” without having to first run it by the editor. Anyone can write a letter to the editor, but not all will be published. On ‘medium’, anyone can write a letter to the editor without the editor throwing it in the trash.
(*Perhaps is a word that I’ve never comfortably used in spoken word, but it seems to be essential to written word, please don’t judge me too harshly.)
